House of Ashes trailer introduces the game’s characters

A new trailer for House of Ashes, the third entry in Supermassive Games’ Dark Pictures anthology, showcases the game’s star cast.

A brand new trailer has dropped for Dark Pictures Anthology: The House of Ashes, giving fans a deeper look at the survival horror game’s characters ahead of its Halloween release.

The trailer provides insight into each of the five-player character’s motivations and personalities, spotlighting the actors who bring them to life, while also teasing the many horrors and monsters to come. The slogan of Ash house is “Hell is empty, and all the demons are here.” The game is inspired by Naram-Sin of Akkad, a Mesopotamian king cursed by the gods, and the story follows five experienced military officers who are trapped in an ancient Sumerian underground temple after an earthquake. As they attempt to escape the vast cave system, the soldiers encounter an unspeakable horror that will do anything to slaughter its prey.

Ashley Tisdale (musical high school, Phineas and Ferb) plays CIA officer Rachel King alongside Alex Gravestein (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) who plays U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Eric King. Dark Pictures Anthology: The House of Ashes also features Paul Zinno (future man) as USMC Force Recon First Lieutenant Jason Kolchek, Moe Jeudy-Lamour (Ted Lasso) as Sergeant Nick Kay and Nick Tarabay (Stargirl, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) as Iraqi Army Lieutenant Salim Othman.

Ash house is the third game of The Dark Pictures Anthology – sequel to 2019 Medan Man and 2020s Little hope. While the latest installment shares many aspects with its predecessors, including interactive narrative, exploration mechanics, and an online co-op mode, it introduces several gameplay changes. The camera is no longer fixed, each character is equipped with a tactical flashlight, and quick events have different difficulty levels.

Supermassive Games is developing the game on Unreal Engine 4 and Bandai Namco Entertainment is publishing the title. Ash house is Will Doyle’s first film in dark pictures Anthology franchise. Doyle is joined by video game industry veteran Jason Graves, who is composing the music. Graves also designed the soundtrack for Medan Man, little hope and the resounding success of Supermassive Games Until dawn.

Ash house is currently slated for wide release on October 22 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Fans who pre-order the game will get early access to The curator’s cup. This version of Ash house allows players to play previously unavailable scenes and story sections with different characters, which may result in different choices and create new outcomes.
